Even More Fun Pictures with Nikon

I often kick myself for not going the extra inch and shooting more. This is especially true when people are the subject. It might have something to do with shyness. Here's an example. I like the shot but was shooting through the machinery and there was a lot of clutter overhead. I had to crop this considerably to get rid of the wires that cut through the guy's hat. Every time something like this happens I tell myself "if only...". Really need to work on that.
Tim: Nice photo. The expressions and tonality are great. Cheers.

A couple more from yesterday morning. It looks like the building is right at the end of the street, but it's actually across a canyon, the east edge of which starts where the street ends. From the end of the street it's about a quarter mile across the canyon, and another maybe 200 meters to the building (which is the state capitol building. Only the dome is visible from this perspective.)
Lloyd: Nice outlook. I've never been to that part of SLC. The shadows in the street and the sun on the dome work very well. Cheers.

That is a lovely light. I can't believe you have bulbed plants up already!? We're at least 4 months away from that around here.
Corlan: Nice photos. Chasing the light's always fun.

Re: bulbs. The weatherman on TV just announced that we're almost to our warmest January ever! The tulips are starting early up in the Skagit (nice photo op; if, you can avoid all people). Probably means we'll have our coldest March ever!

Cheers.

Thanks Matt.

Corlan, nice bulb. Light is warm & this tranquil image is relaxing me as i gaze at it dreaming of the spring! Minus 8 with wind chill in Beantown!

Whoa!!! These leave me speechless!:bugeyes: Great lenses for sure, but consistently impressive results with lots of different lenses just goes to show that it's the photographer that matters... clearly true here.

Did you significantly increase the focal plane separation in PP? Well done anyway!
