- It is dark. Maybe too much. Taken in a dark area, with no external lighting - I think to represent a nocturnal area. I will try - tomorrow - to lighten it a little.

Thanks.

Cheers,

John

Hundreds of nice pictures here since I last visited this thread. Excellent contributions from ... yea well, all of you.

My wife and I arrived back from Croatia right before the european airports closed down due to the volcano eruption on Iceland.
Our first time in Croatia. The country is very beautiful. And very yellow right now :)

Steen: Very nice. Glad you made it home before air travel stopped. What are those bushes/trees? It's spring; shouldn't it bee green? Cheers, Matt

Hi Matt, thank you. I appreciate the compliment. I thought about the 180 (once upon a time I had the 180 Canon macro) but I thought the 150 might be a tad more versatile.

Seattle? You should definitely be out shooting!

Aboud

Matt, I have a bunch of floral macros on http://dweck.zenfolio.com/. Some were shot with the Canon 180 Macro and some with the Contax 645 macro. I think you'll enjoy them.

Aboud
Aboud: Nice photograph of the leaves. The tonality and light are perfect. The 150 does look like a more versatile lens: faster and more compact. I did tack a look at your floral macros. They're beautiful.

Your Zenfolio site is great. Excellent work. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers, Matt

D2X, 70-200mm at 200mm. f3.5, 1/30, 100 ISO.

Shot - so to speak - in a reptile park just north of Mackay, in Qld. I think it is a blue tongue lizard. [I should know - I think I have been away from Aus for too long...]

Heavy contrast etc to add some atmosphere.

Cheers,

John
John...Fantastic!
The sign had just been refurbished. Cheers, Matt

Steve: Boy, these are terrific! Can't pick a favorite. They're all excellent. But, #1's a photo your friend will cherish for the rest of his life. "AndThats-QuantumPhysicsInANutshell" hidden in the url. Descriptive. Wish I had you as a friend when our daughter was that young! That lens was a great choice. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Matt.
