Image of the GXR M-module at a Japanese site; looks like the FP shutter will be open at rest, as the sensor is visible. Perhaps Ricoh will use live view until the shutter is actuated, first covering, then exposing the sensor, then covering it again. Or it's just a prototype without the shutter...

Photo surfaced about two-three weeks ago on DPR.

shutter release event: "shut-timed exposure-shut-open" with open being the normal framing/focusing state is the standard shutter sequence on all other current mirrorless digital cameras. Only DSLRs, because they have an optical reflex viewfinder system, do only the timed exposure-shut cycle with shut being the normal framing/focusing state.
