Peter, great captures in Washington, especially the Vietnam memorial - marvellous reflection.

    Hey Louis,

Thank you so much. Yes it was a neat morning to be out and about in D.C.

Now...some shots of spring in Maryland farmland (one you've seen before but it was tiny.)

    In DP2M-o-vision. Enjoy.

    Re: Sigma DP2 Merrill shots

Man, I really enjoy my DP2m and seeing the images others are achieving with them. Last night I went out with my DP2m and mounted it on a Nodal Ninja 3 with a leveler on a old Bogan tripod I have owned for what feels like forever (I had taken the telescopic legs out of it and have been using it as a low lever tripod for beach work so I had to reassemble it for the NN3). What a sweetheart of a lightweight vertical orientated panorama setup. I produced one 8 shot color and one 4 shot black and white HDR pano from last night using the Autopan Giga 3 software and my Aperture 3 software. I think I am in love

    Michael,

Great contrast with the Yellow. In California we have Springtime Mustard and Sour Grass with bright yellow also.

I have decided it is time to purchase one of these Merrill contraptions. Any tips on where to order for the best prices / fastest delivery?

    Re: Sigma DP2 Merrill shots

May 17 is the national day in Norway.
It is celebrated with children's parades - in Oslo this year there were parades from 109 schools that passed by the royal palace. The royal family stands on the palace balcony and waves to the passing children.

All the images here have links to full size images.
There have been complaints that there are few people in the pictures in this thread - inspect the full size images and be satisfied!

A couple of the pictures are from the DP3M, but I didn't want to split the series on two threads.

The next one is a DP3M image.

The parades exiting after passing the palace.

    And a DP3M image again.

McBain Camera now has all three DP Merrill cameras priced at CDN$799.95 including DP3's.

Full disclosure - I work there, but it's such a good deal on the DP3 I thought I would post. Admin, please remove if objectionable.

Centre Point Compass - I had the opportunity to visit the 31st floor of Centre Point, based at Tottenham Court road in London's West End and take photographs using my DP2M. At full res the detail (is of course) totally astounding, even through glass.

    Hi all,
trying my luck on this forum as well: I got tremendous problems taking pictures of poppy seed flowers. The brighter parts and especially in sunlight are shown as magenta or even in plain white color:

The LCD shows a flash of white light when pointed to the red flower. Very weird! is there any kind of solution? Is something wrong with my camera?

    Re: Sigma DP2 Merrill shots

I owned a Merrill 2 and loved it SO much that I just purchased the 1 and 3. I am even looking into an SD1 but that seems a bit more complex based on the lens.

I have to say that having these makes me feel like I have a secret weapon with me.

I shoot Color at ISO 100 or 200 and Black and White up to 1600. I have been watching videos on Sigma Photo Pro and have found some pretty powerful tools in there for editing in both color and B&W before the file goes to TIFF. I feel I am just scratching the surface of something wonderful.

Here is a 1600 ISO shot from today in B&W:

    And a few Color:

    Anyway hello
