I uninstalled 5.4 and have installed 5.5 but have not tried it yet......

I have been playing with it on my older laptop, it's definitely faster than 5.4.1 and the monochrome feature is really something... Hmm, I might need to keep this camera after all! ;-)

Played with the monochrome conversion around 0200 this AM. Indoor room shots but when converted to B&W seemed to have very nice tones to it with the color wheel set to 4m5y like I normally set it for my color shots. I will be doing more B&W conversions with this software that is for sure.

With only 2 shots processed I can't really comment much on it yet.

Not much time to play yet but I was disappointed that switching between colour and mono modes resets all the sliders - I sort of wanted to set it as I'd like in colour and then try it in mono and switch back to colour to compare.

However, if, in each mode, you save the settings to the X3F file, it will remember both the colour and the mono settings next time you load the file.

I think I am right on that ...

How does the monochrome mode in SPP 5.5 handle the banding at high ISOs? Does it make sigma "usable" above ISO800? Any noticeable improvements over previous releases?
