Viewing them om my iPad my first impression is that your snaps look crisp and detailed :thumbup:
Hopefully you did overcome your initial frustration because I think you've got yourself a winner here.
Now I'd like to see some bokeh shots, Tom.

Bokeh looks fine but not super smooth if you have a busy background.
Also at 4.0, 40mm it is not really shallow DOF.
Anyways I get a good feeling with the lens now, IQ seems sharp with nice color and good contrast.
The handling is AAA IMO. The only thing "funny" is that 40mm is at the left end and 20mm at the right end, kind of an english lens.
