Arizona Wildflowers April 21st-25th
Morning everyone Jack and I have been talking about the next workshop, and the topic of spring wildflowers has come up. Here in the Phoenix area toward Arizona we received a lot of rain over the winter and the desert is extremely green and ready to burst into major wildflower season. I am thinking it is about 3 weeks away as some of the yellow flowers are starting to bud up really nice and some have bloomed already from the warm sun we have been getting lately.
So the idea here is do a surgically strike starting in Tucson with stops at Picacho Peak, http://azstateparks.com/Parks/PIPE/index.html
Saguaro National Monument http://www.nps.gov/sagu/index.htm http://www.saguaro.national-park.com/cal.htm#flo
Then a stop in San Xavier Mission http://www.sanxaviermission.org/
Then proceed South through Sonoita, Tombstone and on to Bisbee, shooting wildflowers and urban landscapes along the way. We can include Safford, Wilcox, Clifford as well, and are mapping this out now. This workshop is limited to 2-4 attendees, Jack and I will be driving you from Phoenix, and it will include all meals and 4 nights lodging. This is a 4 day event starting Wednesday late afternoon on April 21st, ending with dinner on the 24th, and leaving the 25th from Phoenix airport. The weather will be warm and sunny but do not count out rain storms. The weather mostly comes from Mexico down in this region. We are still planning this out but if you are interested let us know ASAP. The cost is anticipated at $2495.00 which includes food, local transportation and lodging, and we need to have 2 commit by April 10th for it to be a go.
Thanks and hope you can make it,
Jack and Guy
