My i1pro spectro has accumulated quite a bit of dust and haze over the last seven years. Xrite will sell me a new cover glass for $58 ($92 uv-cut) but cheap as I am I'd rather save the money for upgrading the the gen2 hardware.
In theory, would removing the cover glass from the nose affect readings? The purpose of the non-uvcut glass is just protection from dust, right? Or wrong?
