large prints

i'm considering making some larger prints than I normally do. I have been printing Hasseblad CFV or phase P20 square images at about 16" sq on my epson 4880 on 17" sq paper and it works great.

I did get a request for larger prints, so thought i would try 36 x 36.

any tips on the best way to handle the images right from raw processing (capture one, 4.5)? usually i make tiffs at 300 pix/inch which suits my printing scale, then do a tweak or two in CS4.

not sure where I would do the printing, may lean on a buddy with a large epson

thanks

Hi John:

Work up is much the same as for the 16x16's. Do everything at native size as normal, then upsize and sharpen appropriately for the new output size.

Cheers,
