600 million Sterling for ink?

Here runs a Kodak advertisement for a new printer and ink on TV. They claim the UK alone would have spent 600 million sterling on ink in the last year.

I find that hard to believe to be honest.

P.S. Just saw it again, there was a short text explanation which stated that the figure was based on consumer printers only. Bloody Hell! LOL

Kodak and Klaus are both correct

A quick calculation for an Epson Stylus 2880 indicates one gallon of ink for this printer costs approximately $4560 based on a cartridge cost of $13.29 each. This is probably a worst case because of the extremely small cartridge capacity (about 11ml). How much ink do we put through our printers during their lifetime?

11ml? I had no idea they are THAT small!

LOL My printer appears like a supertanker against that. 700ml per cartdrige.

I find it a joke to produce printers with such small cartridges. What a rip....
