Re: New MFDB Company Survey

+1

However, I could get onto a blissful glide with a true 645 cmos sensor revolving inside its back for under nine grand. Ok, make it ten grand.
Available in V mount of course. Mp's are...

Re: Lighthearted question for Jonoslack and other gear mongers

Rumor says the next RX100 may come with a 4/3 sensor and a slightly bigger body.

Re: Saint Finbarr's Oratory, Gougane Barra Forest Park

I've used my 17TS combined with a TC1.4XII. IQ is amazing. If it suffers, you'd have to really peep at 200 percent.
I bought the 24TSEII afterwards. The reason was the use of filters and why not,...

Re: Just received 5ds and testing VS my CF-39MS in same lens conditions

Right, my main glass is Canon. I don't mind using a slow adapter. My Sony glass is aps-c only (so far).

I'd like more DR as my main commercial is interior and my main personal is landscapes. For...

Re: Just received 5ds and testing VS my CF-39MS in same lens conditions

I am too waiting for the A9. But in case that Sony hit a plateau, the 5Ds/r announcements are very fortunate as my FF glass is Canon L.

Re: Just received 5ds and testing VS my CF-39MS in same lens conditions

Gigantic WOW!!!
For my 62 year eyes the 5DS looks (thin statement) as good as the CF39. In MS mode, the CF39 looks a hair better than the 5DS.
I would expect the 5DSr to easily match the CF39 in...

Re: Just received 5ds and testing VS my CF-39MS in same lens conditions

Thanks for sharing Chiek.

These crops show the superiority of the bigger sensors. Unfortunately for them, justification of expenditure went yet another notch down.

I assume all beta (4?)...

Re: A7rII

I want 50mp's, 14 stops + DR, EFCS and fully articulated screen. Buying two. No kidding.

Re: B&H announces prices for Canon EOS 5DS R DSLR Camera

Mal, I think I got carried away by the heat of the announcement. :)
The 5Ds-r might well end up to be a very fine camera. But I'm not buying it. I want more mp's but also want more DR and a tilt...

Re: Should I or not?

This discussion reminds me of those about the articulated screen.

Some people don't want it, some people don't care and some others really want it.
Isn't better to have it and not use it than...

Re: Backlight landscape photography realized - say no to silhouette

It's my understanding that in the last years just about any new DMF back had a Dalsa sensor.

Re: Sony FE 16-35/f4

Anyone here having both this 16-35 and the Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 24-70mm f/4 ZA OSS Lens?
At 24mm which has the superior IQ?
Thanks in advanced.

Mirrorless main advantage has been neglected.

Mirrorless technology has advantages and disadvantages over mirrored cameras.
In my opinion the one main advantage of mirrorless has been overseen so far: Multi-ratio cameras.
Manufacturing a...

Re: Canon 5Ds/5DsR

Personally, I see no use for a high megapixel camera if you don't print large. When I buy a HMP camera this year, I will make sure it is the best option under my budget possibilities.
A good...

Re: B&H announces prices for Canon EOS 5DS R DSLR Camera

No DR improvement and only fixed screen. Total disappointment. At this pace, I think that my 6D is going to be my last Canon purchase. After this nauseous announcement Sony will become some sort of...

Re: A7r Successor Coming Soon

IF TRUE, then this was a very smart move from Canon. Having both DualPixel and Exmor tech will put Canon ahead of Nikon for a few years. Years that can be used to keep looking for ways to keep up...

Re: Fun with MF images

Hi Ashwin, great takes and great camera. Can you tell what lens and aperture did you use for the last pic?
I'm seeing at a 100% enlargement crop of the picture below, right?
Thanks,
Eduardo
