anyone have experience with fuji f40fd and f50?

I have both, but will be giving one away to a family member.

I'm curious as to hearing from anyone who has had both, if the lack of a/s on the f40fd has been a limitation?

With my f30 and f31, I always use the a/s mode, and set the aperture to what I want, though I agree with the extensive DOF, it doesn't always matter.
