Handling Canon G9 noise

Hi,

I'm expecting delivery of a Canon G9 next week - the 12 Mpix raw capability was too tempting to ignore.

I understand that high-ISO image noise on the G9 can be a bit objectionable, how does one best handle G9 image noise, once it's there in the raw image?

I don't have a G9, but I've tested one. In general, I still use selective use of Noise Ninja. My threshold for noise is pretty high, so I mainly clean the chroma noise and leave the luminance noise intact.
