oddly, this is not the way i was thinking to use the instrument. it seems perfect for the artist still-life photographer (the still could be anything still) who likes to work as a veiwcamera person. in other words put a closeup lens on and shoot 500 pics of a dirty sink. the incredible detail would make it something else. this means you can basically have a 1000 mg sensor.

i did realize i'd have to buy the $449 version to use the cameras i have:
canon g3, g5, leica d2 and d-lux 2, fuji f6000, canon rebel xti, and so on. able to use the small dslr means picking lenses that would work for different desired effects. for someone who'd like to specialize this is the price of a cheap lens. unfortunately, i'm too impatient!
