reno with the d2

Good all of them; especially like the first (you can´t lose) and third (neon chair) ones.

Must have been quite a change from your smoky tower days...;)

thanks, per and neil,
i spent most of my time at lake tahoe! but reno ended up being a treat, especially the nevada museum of art

http://www.nevadaart.org/

they've an upscale building and obviously take photography very seriously. it dominated the shows, especially the ariel landscapes of michael light and the often humorous desert shots of terry falke.

one thing i learned there: it pays to print your pictures larger, if possible. thinking about it, even an eight and a half by eleven would be considered almost a miniature in painting. the larger prints allow you to wander around in them and make them feel more like 'art.'

here's another from the roof of the museum.

ps. getting a few snow flurries and a frigid north wind. quite a change from the past couple of weeks.

i'm still fascinated by this mural, which was on a closed building right amongst the casinos. gambling in reno is on the down-slide. the new, fancy indian casinos in california are gutting them of customers.
