hhmmm...I'm not sure if....no in fact, I'm definitely sure that Irene won't agree upon that(as the charismatic women she is)... I was looking after a self-portrait from Stockholm, can't find it...you'll have to wait with that (yes, I know we might all be dead and gone by then...thats life)

    What magazine?
One, one can see at the internet?
By the way, forgot to tell you the Atlantic City was a little masterpiece, and I do think you should consider some exhibitions of the best, while they have something very special. And I'll ask at Arken (know the director, but he's focused at thing that's up in time, and therefore can draw attention).

The magazine is about photography. Just send me your email address and I'll make sure you get the link. I won't spam the forum, it's not proper.

    Wonderful shots!
Very dramatic lines in the first (I thought one ought to be weird architect to see such things )
And this exquisite light and mood
The second, hasty spot on, the movement visualized, I’m glad to see the same shooting-habit, staring intense out in the distance, while pointing 90 degree and press, and let the camera rule(like the film-days), but she caught the action, while thinking, weird person…(connection mind-camera)

Yes, thank you very much! It looks very nice, indeed! But I havn't got time to sit down quietly and relaxed to take a more carefull look, so my intentions was to do so and give you a briefing.
What are you editor or what, or a collective working group, or something?
(But I can strongly recommend others to visit Dons homepage to take a closer look at the "Inspired Eye")

Allright, good, it looks very promising, and I do think you have the capasity for it, and Yes, I'll let you know
but just have to have something to settle down (going...perhaps...from almost none-work..to almost way to much, (but it might be good to prevent getting too senile, some would claim))

Don: If other opinions are welcome as well , here's a short feedback from old Europe/Germany (got the link while enjoying your website/blog):

Indeed promising as Thorkil stated and even more IMHO. Really liked the mixture of themes, the design, and of course the pictures. Particularly liked the articles from both editors, the senior and the senile , and most of all I liked the retrospective of the senile editor in chief himself, really interesting and somewhat surprising views and thoughts, I widely sympathize with - and also educating/inspiring. Not so sure, whether it's clever to formalize the questions in your interviews that much, maybe a little variation/personalization could be a nice break up.

    But:
Read/studied the magazine from cover to cover in one go, says it all, I guess.
    Best regards - Hermann

    Re: GRD4 Street Images

just some very short words Don. I agree on Hermann. I haven’t reed it all by now, just some, and your article.
The graphic and dynamically way it's all set up, I do like. It's inspiring! in it's unconventionally way. It is strong.
And it’s very nice the honest way you write and describe the details taking the shots and the situations, sort of making complicated things uncomplicated, and not taking anything for granted. In my head photography is both the beauty and the wild thing. And if photos can deliver life grabbed out of reality, and hit you, both as a still-life, with calmness or with dynamic life that strikes you or visualizing dreamy feelings...it moves. And they moves.
The set-up flows and works. And it’s worth going back to several times.
(so the summary is simple and clear: just keep on pushing, Don....!)

Thorkil, you have posted some good shots from the Verona series. Kind of a mini documentary on the facial expression that reflects the human condition.

Thanks guys for everything. Special thanks to Thorkil for the promise of getting me n M9...hmmmmm

I used the format for the questions like I do on forums. It was a hard decision but the reason is.... The readers can compare the same or similar question and answer from each shooter. It allows a broad way of comparing thoughts about a given subject.

The next issue will show a new added format for the interviews. Thanks for the support, it is much appreciated.

    Re: GRD4 Street Images

The imminent release of the new Ricoh GR is definitely going to make alot of people excited! Though the reviews and verdicts of the performance are not available yet, having an APS-C sensor itself is causing many to salivate already. With the "rumoured" sell price of USD800 does make it look more attractive than the Nikon A series (at least on paper).

However, I am still hoping/waiting for something small with a built-in viewfinder (OVF or EVF).

Nevertheless, great to hear Ricoh launching some new product.

Allrighty... I'm Pre-Ordered, whatever that means, at a store. They say Mid May but I'll never make that. A month, I think not.....

It seems that it is not an upgrade from the GRD4, nothing really could be. I am looking at this like new camera same as if it were M43. I will not sell my GRD4. It's too darn good.

The above statements are Pre-Thoughts not Thoughts....

Will not sell the IV either. But the V will help me to be both a working Tool in darker rooms and Places and in the sparetime. But when it goes to 25.000 it can’t make those crazy burned out sensor-cliff-hanging-struggling grainy Pictures.
But I guess I'll then have to, some day, to see if I can manage to learn about lightroom.

very nice soft colours, the first, Don (like the flow and the lines, together with a strong and beauty face-close-up)!
    The second I can't see
The third is just taken from a scary horrorpicture from the thirties....

    Okay, Don
I like your colours. The first smooth und unreal in a quit way, the second more weird, but still in a nice way. At the most, (or often, or sometimes) colours are at their best when they are interpreted on their own unreal way, but carefully avoiding the overdone (HDR etc. etc) way. That, these are avoiding in a splendid way!

Don: Really like all of them (from your last post) for different reasons. But all of them have something yet unseen in this way. If I had to choose my favorites would be the second one (in color) and on par the last one, in B&W. Both particularly for the somewhat unreal look and feel plus great composition in case of the last one. And for me all of them have a message I'm interested in. Very, very well done!
    Best regards - Hermann

    Getting very quiet here lately.
I don't have alot of time to look at the photos I have taken, mostly just snapshots of things I see as I do my things.
So below is another from the power grid series, with in camera high-contrast B&W filter.
