Dp1 IR collection

I have just bought the DP1's lens adapter, step up ring, hoy IR filter and I'm really looking forward to doing my first experiences with IR. I was very pleased with the results displayed on this collection (not mine):

Problem is that the DP1 has a UV/IR filter in front of the sensor and you're not going to get anything without removing it. Seng's husband converted the DP1 used for those shots by removing the filter - it's not a simple procedure, it's a "one way" process and the chances of damaging the camera in the process is very high... I know of only 3 people who have succeeded with the conversion. Good luck if you're going to give it a try!

Seng's IR stuff is almost all handheld - I'd guess between 1/10 and 1/25s for most of it.

you will be able to take pics on a tripod with long exposures. but to get ones like those below you need a converted to hand-hold and get movement.

ps. took a bunch in dance class yesterday but they came out shadowy, not enough light. then looking at a infrared book found i could have used something as a flash, bought long ago:

I thought just the filter would be enough. No freaking way I'm having my beloved DP1 irreversibly converted! Oh well, I was going to buy the HA-11 for macro anyway, so I'll just try to sell the hoya. Too bad though.

Just got the filter. The IR pictures come out all black.
