Escena Golf Club view ...

I was in Palm Springs over the weekend. We had breakfast at the Escena golf club, sitting on the terrace, and I decided to try the iPhone 4S camera's panorama mode ...

That's nearly straight out of the iPhone. I had to lighten the shadowed area on the right end a bit, that's it. Pretty stunning ... the original is 10,500 pixels wide!!

I really do not use my iPhone often enough.

I honestly do not think this is a lot different, at web size, than using b&w film.

I took some tips from Simon Hughes and processed this image with Painteresque and Snapseed. Thanks Simon!

Re the above image of flowering cabbage, processed with Painteresque.....I printed this image tonight on a sheet of Epson Cold Press Bright (just received my first box in the mail today). A textured paper is perfect for an image like this one, processed to have a sort of painterly/watercolor look. I wasn't sure what I would use this paper for....now I know.
