Ricoh launches R8

I've heard it's just a consumer cam. I think the DP1 is the only interesting thing on the horizon. Or the long-shot rumor of a Nikon rangefinder...

The R8 does have contrast, saturation and brightness control (whatever that last is) and exposure compensation.
It is, especially in black, a very pretty camera with a 2.7'' 460k pixel hd display.
I have never been much into the tiny, high-zoom ratio cameras, but is attractive in some ways.

I agree, the R8 looks really nice... and one day soon, I'm sure there will be a breakthrough in small sensor technology - to give much greater dynamic range and less noise.
