Taken on a lazy Sunday afternoon, driving through the hills, the kids stopped to look at the lambs - which promptly took off! :p

Thank you for looking. Its winter here and luckily we have had a large amount of rain in the last few months, and this has greened up the place. The last couple of years have seen a bad drought which has severely damaged our main river "The Murray" and the Murrays lower lakes. The photo's area is Adelaide Hills which has seen good rains so its not bad everywhere.

Stephen, the Outback is still very arid, so your notion is correct. Most of the population lives on the coastal areas which is quite green and habital. We did have day here in Adelaide last summer where the temp got to 46 Celsius though!
