The Birds

I took my lunch time walk around work, K100Ds in hand with a 50mm lens in tow.
I had just made some forgettable shots of the fields to the North when I saw a wisp of black smoke coming toward me.
Fast.
And not with the wind.
There was a rush of wings on the hot breeze and they were on me.

They came so close I could smell them, musky and feral.

I recalled that old Hitchcock Film, but continued to shoot with my phone cam; my Pentax hanging forgotten at my side.

Should we call you Melanie from now on?
The Birds is one of my favourite films.
Swarms of Birds are incredible but these are low too. Could it be the heat?

Brilliant Lili. The second image is my favorite but that are all great. I bet you were really thrilled to have caught them.

Paul, LOL, it was very eerie!!!
Will thanks muchly, I love the second best of all too ;)
Thanks Derek, this kind of thing proves the adage;
Rule #1 in taking pictures; Have a Camera!
A phone cam beats not having one(in this case I had the Pentax but the manual focus would not have been fast enough and the view too narrow)
Rawfa, thanks :)
