What's wrong with the 16-35 (except the price)?

The 20 and 28 seem to have a so-so reputation. There is a good review of both at kurtmunger.com.

I have the Minolta 20 2.8 RS, and, while it's no Zeiss, it is good to the corners at f8, and it's nice and small.

not sure if its FF
