I'm interested in the idea, not only for wet conditions, but more often for windy ones in dusty or sandy environments. Simple aperture controls and clearly seen depth of field indicators would be a boon when street shooting, too.
I wouldn't want to bother if the IQ stinks, though, so I'm just asking....
