Very interesting link on DPreview:
http://www.dpreview.com/news/2011/12/05/sonyEVFdetails
there is a download link to this document:
http://www.sony.net/Products/SC-HP/cx_news/vol66/pdf/ecx331_332a.pdf
on Page 2 you find the specs for the LARGER VERSION EXC332a of the new OLED finder -the ones used in the Nex5+7 and A77 have 1024 pixel and are described as the EXC331.
The larger Version has 1280x720 and is - I think could be - the finder of a forthcoming 30-40 Mpix DSLR probably the "Alpha 1000" or according to the nearly doubled resolution maybe "Alpha 1800" ? (just found out this is also used in the HMZ-T1 3D (3d viewing device)
Just for comparison: The Arri Alexa has a 1280x720 finder......
The diagonals are 12,7 / 18mm, the pixels on the smaller/larger chip are
3,3 /4 Micron in Size.
Very - I mean VERY, VERY Interesting !
Greetings from Munich
