There isn't a thread here with this particular theme AFAIK. I thought we could have one apart from the "fun with..." threads.

Please post the images to show what you come up with your tools.

Especially like the second philber. She blends in completely realistically in with the mural behind her. Could have been an above ground shot

Some from Amsterdam last summer (on a grey day, as we had too many)

Aging hippies:

Great photos and idea for a thread. This is last month in Bangalore. Not my usual 'street'.

Gentlemen: These struck a chord with me.
Vivek: Mystery and stunning B & W.
Pegelli: Perspective and dynamics of the two 'pairs' of people.
Philber: The second one for the same reasons as Pegelli
Pegelli: Perspective and dynamics of the one 'pair' (i'm also partial to "aging hippies")
Hosermage: Nice juxtaposition and look on his face.
Pegelli: Perfect capture and caption!

Cheers, Matt

It was a very foggy day today in the Hague. I used my pen F 42/1.2 and the E-Sonnar 24/1.8 (both the same size though the 42/1.2 had a metal hood!) and the NEX-7.

A few from using the 42/1.2 (all @ f/1.2).

Matt, Thanks.:)

If you don't mind me asking this..were you outside the car and on the street?
It does give a feel of a portion of that city. Though many different facets of it are there.

I hope you had a good visit. :)

I really like this thread

Matt, good shooting in Bangalore, it's not easy I know (see below). I like the neat schoolgirl in the typical Indian messy environment most.

Vivek, I think the two Moslim ladies in the alley is brilliant, it's the least sharp but for me it has the most impact. Thanks for starting this thread. I'm enjoying it and finding stuff back on my hard drive I had not processed yet but do fit here.

From my August 2010 stay in Bangalore (all while walking around)

Hi all! I'm new here. I'm just getting back into photography for the most part, and never was much of a "street" guy but it can be fun I'm finding.

Here are some shots from last weekend with a Nex-5N and Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.1.

Vivek: My wife and i were just walking around when I took those photos. Interesting that you asked. I did, just for fun, shoot from the car window one night on the way back to the hotel. Here's a couple of those photos. We barely touched India's incredible color, diversity and contrast.

India 2010 (IR) - a set on Flickr
Pegelli: +1!
Vivek: 'India 2010 (IR)' is a tremendous set of photos! I, also liked the gritty, PJ, photo of the two Muslim women.

India's a wonderful place for 'Street Photography'.

Cheers, Matt
