How well does the Nex-7 handle long exposures with long noise reduction off? Example, say a 30 sec at ISO100 or a 2 min a ISO 400. I am still waiting in three locations for a Nex-7 to get back in stock, so I can't test for myself yet.
I am interested long exposures with no noise reduction since I would like to start taking nighttime stacks with the Nex-7 and with these you need to have your Noise reduction off or the corresponding dark frame adds a gap in the stars. My only experience so far is the Canon and Nikon full frame digital lineup, but I would appreciate any feedback on how the Nex-7 does in this type of photography.
I have found several different devices that will allow the camera to work with a intervoltmeter so you can take as many images as you need for the time frame just as you would with the Canon remote. The ones for the Nex-7 all work with the IR port but still should get the job done.
Looking for feedback on overall noise and or amount of stuck pixels.
Thanks
Paul
