CoC for Nex 7

I think it's better to set CoC as a function of output size/medium and viewing distance and calculate back what it means on the sensor (or film plane).

CoC; circle of confusion, as Douglas says, and used to help determine acceptable sharpness, too. One of the considerations I have come across recently that applies to the latest pixel densities (like the NEX-7) is that (according to these folk) the old measure for CoC needs to be made smaller than it used to be for film, both for pixel density and film 'thickness' (compared to a digital sensor) reasons. Makes sense to me (that, and the fact that everyone checks sharpness at 100%, which we never did in film days).
