Nex 7 viewfinder flicker: Is it normal?

The viewfinder on my new Nex 7 flickers and sometimes has wavy lines (looks like moire) on some objects, such as house siding and roof shingles. This is in average outdoor light. Is this normal?

It does not occur on the LCD, nor on the VF when the menu is displayed there.

It seems more related to specular highlights and some patterns.

Does your Nex 7 do the same? Thanks.

No it is not not normal at all. Did your NEX-7 body hit anything or suffer a fall of sorts?

If it is under warranty, get it fixed.

Thanks, Vivek. It's brand new.

I notice it only happens when aimed at certain angles at patterns like house siding. And it does not occur when viewing menus through the VF. That's why I thought is might be an idiosyncrasy of the VF in certain conditions.

I see quite a few web hits that suggest flicker is a fairly common Nex 7 issue. Not so, huh?
