John, Nice. Having kept the old lenses (contax 90/2.8, CV12/5.6), this is encouraging.

still having issues on my shop mac with C1; when importing, not only does it import the 4 i had selected, but also another 140 images from two different cameras, not at all on the card i am loading from...
had a rfi in with Phase, but no real answer. does not do this on my home mac. grrrr!

another couple with the 12mm CV, kind of flat light; pleasant surprise about no vignetting or color cast; that is a WIDE lens

The outside temperature gauge on the rent a car I was driving said 119 deg at 7 PM at night. I was shocked by how much the temperature changed with the elevation. This was my first experience in Death Valley. I only had a couple hours there but I am definitely going back.

Lovely fine detail on those berries Bart...The Leica APO Elmarit Macro R 100mm is a cracking performer, it's razor sharp and renders beautifully the OoF background.

Still shooting small town Colorado with Sony A7RII and Zeiss 35mm 1.4 lens. Purposely incorporating reflective views of both interior of shops and outside "feel" of the town. These from Fort Collins and Leadville. The one of the doll was taken in a small out of the way shop in Leadville. handheld, iso 100. Raw processing in C1. Eleanor

I slightly cheated Bart (not that I'm certain what it is) ...I looked at the larger image on Flickr
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/virama...60489/sizes/k/
I think you could cut these tubes to size to protect your lenses when in your camera bag (very lightweight lens protectors).

    ^^^A very nice timepiece MrSmith^^^

Here is another one for you all to chew over
BTW The Cornish are excluded from playing as itís way to easy for them

This was once a Hotel on the Cornish coast but is now a Care Home...But what is so famous about this area?...The clue is just to the right of the building

The site is famous as the location of Poldhu Wireless Station, Guglielmo Marconi's transmitter for the first transatlantic radio message on 12 December 1901 to his temporary receiving station on Signal Hill, St. John's, Newfoundland.

Just googled Poldhu and im staying in Mullion later this week and I think I will probably see the old folks home from the B&B I'm staying in. It's going to rain all week so the Marconi museum is going to get a visit.

The Cornish coast with turbulent weather. I'd be willing to get drenched for the photographic possibilities.

I wonder, though, if there is yet a custom made raincoat for the A7's.

Hi MrSmith, yes Mullion Cove is just the other-side of Poldhu and this was taken at Church Cove (Gunwalloe) which is well worth a visit also...Lovely little church there (Church of the Storms) http://www.cornwall-online.co.uk/kerrier/gunwalloe.htm it's where I took the orchid in the font images on the previous page...Enjoy your stay in Cornwall, I hope the weather stays good for you...Cheers Barry

A few from Cornwall yesterday, all with the A7RII, the first three with the 16-35mm the fourth with the 90mm Macro G OSS and the third also with the 16-35mm near Lesnewth. The first four along the Coastal path in Cornwall, north of Boscastle. Weather was too "nice" for serious photography but a great day for walking.

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

I picked up the 24-240mm for my A7 last month, but I haven't had much occasion to test it out yet. Here are a couple of photos from my garden. The lens creates a really smooth OOF rendering for small objects like these at 240mm, even at f6.3 (the widest aperture). On shorter focal lengths or larger objects (like people), the OOF rendering is a bit busier. Still, all in all, a very nice lens so far.

Taken earlier today at Antony House here in Cornwall.

Trying a change in lens today with my A7RII. Using the Zeiss Otus 55 1.4 lens at iso 50. Walked down the path by my house with camera on a tripod here in Colorado and shot some aspens. Good micro detail in the aspen I focused on and smooth bokeh. Eleanor
