BTW, of the three pictures you have shown, I like the second one best. The colors are very subtle.
Thank you. I prefer the first, but it is heavily processed. The 2nd is quite as it was, when you look on the colors. But the lens as itself has a green cast in the center and purple to the corners. I could compensate that, but on the other hand I like difficult characters. So, why changing?

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

A couple of test shots with a new adapter for the Contax N 24-85 lens.. I had to return my Kipon C/N to Sony E as defective when it started freezing up frequently. Now using a "Daofeng C/N - NEX " with much better results - no electronic glitches or freezing. Both adapters are MF only, but they control aperture in the lens using the camera adjustment wheel and they report focal length used, f stop, and shutter speed to exif.

Thanks Michiel. No problem really, because I had already pre-ordered both adapters and the Daofeng from China arrived the day after I returned the Kipon to Adorama.

This was taken inside a enclosed mall, this was an empty smaller clothing store (seen by changing rooms in the back). They temporarily converted it to a .. ring for these motorized animals to ride around in.

I like the compositions, especially the way the circle organizes the first one, and the tones.

(But contrast and sharpening are a bit intense to my eye.)

Took a day off from MF to use my Sony gear. This our second snowfall of the winter, which like the first one melted in hours owing to what may turn out to be the warmest December on record.(8C yesterday.)

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

Another 21mm Loxia image...If you are looking to buy a new compact 21mm lens for the A7 series...look no further IMHO

This is without doubt optically the finest 21mm lens that I have ever owned to date and I have had several Leica and Zeiss lenses previous to this.

My only real hesitation in the beginning was the short focus travel between 2 metres and infinity just as David said on the other thread, having now established exactly where the hyperfocal distance setting is for my particular lens, I am 100% delighted.

It resolves fantastic right into the corners when stopped down and it has a lovely OoF rendering when used WO best seen when you focus in close-up to your subject matter.

It has very little distortion and a typical amount of vignetting that you would naturally expect from a 21mm lens it also handles flare well if shooting into the sun.

The Fab 3 as liked to call them were the Sony 35mm F1.4 Distagon, 55mm F1.8 Sonnar and the 90mm G F2.8 Macro...Now I have the fantastic 4

Seriously itís a bargain at the price IMHO certainly when comparing against all the other new 21mm lenses at this calibre.

If you already have this on Pre-Order I am sure you will be delighted as I am

Tom, I will take the bioshphere as it is a better representation of the reality over there.

Often the magnitiudes of Visibility reports on the Vancouver island and surroundings (>100 km) correspond to the traffic congestion on the auto bahn!
