Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

I didn't post in this thread yesterday, because I had a shot taken with the OM-D EM5II (I finally got a shot with the alpine choughs swarming right above Sion and the castles; too bad that I hadn't the A7r ready and that the light wasn't very good), but it can be seen in the MFT forum, in the fun with OM-D thread : http://www.getdpi.com/forum/4-3rds-c...tml#post683185

Today I'm back here with a cityscape :

Wow! That must have been some flashlight... or a seriously long exposure. Or was it some crazy ISO setting on the A7S?!

Scanned with the A7rII and FE 90mm F2.8 macro.

A garden city, somewhere in the Netherlands. This was shot back in may 1981 using an Olympus XA and with Kodak Ektachrome. It was a student trip, but the assistants who organized the trip didn't provide any maps... so I don't really know where this was shot.

Here another one. Same two cameras as above and same trip to the Netherlands. I had to follow a group and didn't get the time to note the name of the sculptor.

I was on the way home, when I saw the birds dancing. And I had to think about Annnas shot.

Sadly I had the loxia 21 instead of the 55. So I had to crop a lot...

    dancing birds

And I want to have them the next time in this light (one that I posted a few months ago):

How many birds you can count?

Now I don't recognise this particular house, but I'd say this is shot somewhere in Amsterdam.

Thank you ! I appreciate Great to have this info. The pictures aren't so great and curiously when using the A7r2 to "scan" I'm getting less problems with negatives than with positives.

I am back. I was here many times, but not to show my pictures, but for watching your great photos.
Here you can see the reason. My new Briard. During shooting about 10 weeks old. I took more care to the dog than to my camera

Thank you so much ! With all you Netherlanders here, I knew I had a good chance to find out.. I really like this architecture. I shot four rolls during that trip and a good half are from those neighborhoods. But I didn't have any experience in photography then and only used a little compact with a fixed 38mm lens, the Olympus XA. That camera was more or less the size of a packet of cigarettes. For this series I used Kodak Ektachrome slides and it has a lot of grain and is very contrasty. Not ideal for digitizing. Still, I like those souvenirs and may put up an album at Flickr with them.

I was playing around with the loxia 21/2.8 and an extension tube (10mm). The tomato has a diameter of 6cm and was directly in front of the lens (obviously )
(directly into a light (flare) and with fill flash)

Happily your Pentax 645Z is a heavy outfit, so you keep using the A7r, allowing us to enjoy your pictures in this thread.

Edit : same can be said for Werner Utsch and his Leica body..
