Well if you discount the real Zeiis Otii that are truck sized and manual focus only, yes.

We upload them from Flickr in their biggest size what we shouldn't because it also takes time for getdpi to downsize them to their maximum size.

I try this one now at 1024 pixels wide ans see if there is any difference.

Yes, its on at once, while the others are still strugling....
perhaps you all should do at max. 1200px?

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

Vivek I'll admit my bias is that I'm a tallish man with large hands so I like lenses large enough that I can manipulate them. I bought into the FE series for versatility that I was lacking in my M9. I wasn't willing to give up a FF sensor though.

Sometimes small is just way too damn small.

Tre, 49mm filter (Olympus pen F 60/1.5) and Color Yashinon 40/1.7 (52mm filter) are just the right size for the A7x.

Maybe so but I love my A7's with grips so the 67mm and 72mm point just right as well.

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

I noticed the slow download of my posted pics since a couple of days (at FM it' the same).
The posted size is always 1600x1051 (the native size at FM) and there was never a problem with download speed or the resizing by the forum software.

I upload all my pics to Flickr at 100% (as a backup) out of LR. Other sizes would be much more work for me.

I have no idea what's the problem but suspect Flickr. If i watch the transfer speed on my MAC it starts fast and then quickly goes down to 20-30 kb/s.

I welcome anybody who can help!

    Cheers

    Werner

Thanks I posted a few messy shots whilst trying to find the right posting size but I think I've got it now allbeit I'm upsizing images to Flickr that I maybe already have on there, but smaller! Not sure how each site manages sharpening either. Facebook makes nasty artifacts if you post too large there.

Getting away with out of focus!...Then jumping into the frame at the last moment and now we are being seduced...You guys don't miss a trick

Same old place at a different time of the day but taken with the Sony 55mm FE lens...now getting in much closer to the rocks and the spray.

    Lovers.

I was only borrowing the lens, but I do admit I was surprised at how well it performed (after correcting for distortion). Not bad for $300. However, I've yet to master the challenges presented by such a wide fov.

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

Thanks, Barry, Vivek. I've been loving both of your recent offerings as well.

As for the Rokinon/Samyang/Bower/whatever: The above shot is ever so slightly cropped on the left, in order to remove a nasty flare caused by my inexperience and that giant protruding front element. The right side is untouched. If there is any smearing in the corners, it's slight to nonexistent at f8 and beyond.

Another tidbit about the lens is that even in non-adapted e-mount, there are no electrical contacts of any kind. They had to keep the costs down somehow, I suppose.

A couple of dicky birds shot this March - one from the Pacific coast of southern Mexico (nex 6 and Tamron 18-200) and the other on a mountain top north of Vancouver (A7 and Canon 200/4 FDn)

Slightly misfocused or not it's a stunning portrait. I don't think it's super easy to tell at this resolution anyway.

No, can't tell unless I zoom in.... which I did! Tina is a make up artist and although she was just visiting socially with her new puppy it was too good an opportunity to miss. She has great skin and needs very little pp and of course her make up was vibrant.

Indian God of Peace statue by Carl Milles - 1936. Housed in the Ramsey County Courthouse, St Paul, Minnesota.

Scale is a little hard to judge; the statue is 38 feet tall (~12 meters). That's me reflected in the ceiling, near top center.

Long hiatus again. Lots of fantastic images, everyone. Congratulations and many thanks for sharing!

I caved and ordered the A7II recently. Really curious how well IBIS works with the longer lenses I have...

Hi Ron, lovely to have you back here again my friend....Also congratulations on getting the A7II I look forward to trying it out when we next meet up again
Are we still on for this month?...that would be great
I have just ordered today the FE 70-200mm F4 as I needed to treat myself, not sure quite what the reason was for spoiling myself...I just needed a longer lens I suppose...You can try it out if you fancy on your new A7II
    Cheers Barry
