Re: Fun with the Sony A7 and A7r series

Barry thanks for posting these. I love the first one as it's exactly what I'm looking for. This lens has a nice look, it gets a bad rap for being big on a M camera. Which for me means its small. Lol
You're most welcome Guy,
Actually I think the first shot was taken at f1.2 and not f2 judging by the circular highlights (and vignetting)...Although I can't be certain as my memory is shaky on this shot.
The lens has a 12 blade iris which is pretty circular throughout, giving you a very pleasant OoF most of the time at all focusing distances.
I use a Voigtlander (VME) standard FE to Leica mount adapter which the lens fits nice and snug on without any wobble + It focuses to infinity (Not beyond) and doesn't vignette the rear lens element onto the sensor at any of the focal distances...It also matches in black nicely...rather than using a third party adapter.

Cheers Barry

A7R with Petri 135mm f/3.5 (M42 mount) along with a test shot.
I compared side by side with the Canon FD 135/3.5 and I like the Petri MUCH better.

The numbered apeture ring opens the aperture, the ring behind the silver band closes the aperture, never seen that before.

Sony A7R and Sony Sonnar T* FE 35mm f/2.8 ZA
This is the 1st picture taken with the A7R outside. Very impressive camera!
I am very impressed with the B & W conversion.
This gentleman was kind enough to let me take his picture.
