Sony A7 + Summilux-R 50mm f/1.4

I wish I'd had a couple of days to wander through the old house my friends' daughter bought. It was a treasure trove of interesting still life photos.

Thanks for looking. Comments always appreciated.

Cindy,

I'm glad your enjoying the 50 rigid! I miss that lens and will probably look for more leica glass for my A7. Did you post any pics taken with the 1937 Contax? I'd love to see the rendering of that too. Keep up the great work!
Johnny, There is a photo with the 1937 Contax in the A7 with old lenses thread. I'm going to Charleston, SC this week to shoot and I have the Contax tucked in my bag, so hopefully, I'll have more to post soon.

Lovely photos, Cindy!
That Summilux-R 50 is just a delightful lens, isn't it?

I have to pull out my Nikkor 50/1.2 AI-S and compare it sometime. I know it's quite different in rendering style, particularly at and near wide open ... :)

Thanks, Godfrey. Yes, I really like the lens on the A7r. I had converted it to the Sony A mount, and I was not enjoying it on the LA-E4 because it seemed to "chatter". I changed it back to R mount recently, and am enjoying it more.
The photo of the "Abandoned Bath" is stunning. That house must have been in a time warp. What a find.

Barry, I'm glad that your Mom is getting along and that you are making some time to enjoy photography. I enjoyed your "post cards" of the fishing village.

Thank you very much!

It was a coincidence or an accident, i was trying to get the composition of those architectural design or windows of the mosque on the wall in perspective, and by sudden one worker was passing, so i took the shot to have a human element in the shot, it adds more than if i shoot that image without a human there even it will be good as well.

In fact, i have to return back to enjoy photography to have good shots, most of the time when i go online including this site and watching many with latest and so expensive gear with wonderful beautiful shots from beautiful places i feel i can't do anything and i must give up, but i hate to give up something i love.
Don't give up!

Thanks, Zoran - I meant the car. Camera and lens I've had a while and to be honest, they are probably more practical than the Aston :)

Just sitting here in front of my computer enjoying the sheer beauty of that car. Can't tear my eyes off it!
Same here but I have one problem with this picture. That car is too clean after being taken for a spin :) I am a huge fan of sports cars and when I take mine for a spin, especially one I just got, I don't stop till it's dirty :D

Re: Fun With Sony _____

Took the old NEX 5NIR with a Leica R 50mm Cron out for a walk in the Children's garden. Batch processed the raw files through Sandy's latest version of AccuRaw Monochrome to DNGs. Added some light sharpening and split toning in LR and then exported half size jpegs. Very smooth tonality, low noise, and good shadow detail using AccuRaw Monochrome.
