Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

Hello,

it is my first post.

In Berlin we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. LICHTGRENZE is a light installation with 8,000 helium balloons, it runs along the former wall route for eight miles.

"LICHTGRENZE" - Schiffbauerdamm with the river Spree

"LICHTGRENZE" - Brandenburger Tor, somewhat hidden by an installation

"LICHTGRENZE" - Oberbaumbrücke (Oberbaumbridge), connect the former eastern district Frichdrichshain with Kreuzberg (west)

All pictures with Sony A7r, 55mm, 1,8; 35mm, 2,8.

A few shots taken along a waterfront trail walk with the A7R + Minolta M-Rokkor 28mm f/2.8. I use the Phigment coded M to E adaptor which records lens information in exif.

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

My new, one piece adapter for Canon FD lenses finally came in. Manufactured in Poland from high quality materials and to very exact standards it is probably the single nicest adapter for legacy lenses I have ever purchased. Hands down. I hope to do a little write up on it soon.

Here are some examples from the A7 with Canon FDn 50/1.4.

Lovely, Barry...
Many thanks Werner (I know I'm lovely :ROTFL:)
Your 15mm Nikkor looks to be a superb match with the A7R (certainly better than my old 15mm Voigtlander)

One more from Sunday. A7r and 55 1.8 with one bare bulb flash.

This one is straight out of the camera :)

Re: Fun with the Sony A7 Series Cameras( all of them)

Apparently I can't read my own data. This was from the 35 2.8. I rarely use that lens although it renders well and is very small. For some reasons it never seems to attach itself to my camera :)

Thanks for all the likes.

Jim
I liked both of them very much Jim...The lighting was great on the first one (Like off of a film set) + I liked the creased/distressed 1/4 folds on the BW shot as if someone kept a picture of their sweetheart in their wallet
Cheers Barry

To keep the portrait theme going for a while.
A7r, 55 1.8, bare bulb strobe with no reflector.

The new FE 16-35/F4 OSS:
The lens looks very promising, no Ca or distortion correction applied.
Distortion is very good controlled, Ca's low and sharpness and contrast excellent ,in the corners very good.
AF was perfect in the very dark Chappell (OSS of for that shot from tripod)

Very nice atmosphere Werner!

I see some distortion in the last image but still very good. Does not look to complicated. (mustache etc.)
It looks that it will be, even manually, very easy to correct. May be two or three steps.
