Same lens on tripod - 1/30 ISO 640 set to auto)...

'snow on roof' - a7r / FE 24-70

I woke up to some fresh snow today. Didn't have time to go out and about, so took this shot. The foreground is the top of our garage and the roof beyond is on the west side of our home. I like the play between the various lines/angles, and the contrast between the clapboards on the house with the fresh snow and white sky. The picture has an interesting abstract quality to it (for me, anyway). Sometimes, you just walk out your front door and shoot something.

A7R with my all time favourite standard lens - The 55mm f1.8 FE.
Image split in two for enlargement (stacked on top of one another) with BLENCOMO treatment.

Re: Fun With Sony _____

@ AlexLF, nice shots, some people don't like the 16 mm but you again showed it's not the equipment that matters, but the person who uses it.

Last week we spend a few days in Helsinki, and obviously the famous stairs of the Stockmann shopping center were on the menu :toocool:

There were actually two sets of stairs in the building, at opposite sides and one turning right and the other turning left. All of these images are "as taken", nothing mirrored or flipped.

1: Looking up, left turning to go up

2: Looking up, right turning to go up

3: Looking down, right turning to go up

4: Looking down, left turning to go up

All NEX5 + E10-18/4

Since I pulled the muscles in my back this morning and didn't get out to shoot I am forced to post one from last week. It was also an experiment in split toning.

Michiel - I'm always impressed with the look of your images where you use the Contax N 24-85. What are you using as an adaptor for this lens?
