Some photos you simply want to fall into - Michiel's latest belongs in that category.

Thanks so much jlm and frozenbb, much appreciated :)
And all others for the likes of course.

Glad I picked it up from my flickr storage and saved it from oblivion. :)

Michiel, I'm always amazed how some of your better work IMHO on Flickr doesn't always make it's way here onto GetDPI...Just a suggestion get the wife to give you a second opinion (That's all supposing that you are not asking her already :D )...it's what I do :)
Same goes for Werner, not everybody always likes the same images as what we automatically chose to upload.
The pair of you have so many "MORE" goodies well worth showing here
Thus ends the :lecture: ...Sorry about that :D

Thank you Barry, i try to obey:

"Aquis Mattiacis, Kurhaus/Casino, Wiesbaden"

Aquis Mattiacis is the latin name of Wiesbaden

Some personal remarks:

This, and other shots made in Wiesbaden these days, have strong personal impact. My daughter finished her second state examination in law at the Ministry of Justice and is now lawyer/jurist. We (my wife and her boyfriend) where very nervously waiting the whole day for her. When she was ready in the late afternoon i got out to make some photographs to come down and relax. It was ice cold, handling of the cam and lenses was diffcult. (Michiel: Social and family affairs :)).

Congrats, Werner! :)

Beautiful building with a very long history! (I have seen it a few times while working/staying in Mainz.)

These are great images Werner! And congratulations with your daughter !
I will get that TS some day or something else to get those buildings straight.
And I do know how annoying it can be for others to have someone around concentrating on photography.
It is a fine line between taking time for your "thing' while others want/need your attention. But we need to claim our time to remain agreeable. :D

You are a kind man Barry.

I don't want to overflow the forum with images of mine and I can't always expect my dearest to pay attention to the quality of my posting trivialitys. But I do get my judgements. ;)

But like Werner said it has been freezing cold and also no time due to social attendings, so here is another from some weeks ago.
Notre Dame d'Amiens, the way it looks witout TS.

Thanks Vivek (missing your posts!),Michiel, Barry et al......

I normally try not to double post (FM and here) but want to show the staircase.
The "Golden Staircase" from above. A difficult shot holding the cam with tripod through the handrail in the middle of the staircase. At 2 sec's exp. there is still a little cam shake visible. Because on tripod i had the stabi off should better be on in this case.
