Nice work Barry!
Greatly appreciate that, Michiel!Nice work Barry!
Nothing new under the sun.
Just a contempory intrepetation of the paintings of Pieter de Hoogh from 1660.
Always looking through spaces inside and outside.
(BTW shot from the outside)

Remarkable painting and much older in deed, yes, but I don't use a fish eye lensMany thanks Michiel.
Very interesting as my take would have been on an even earlier artist from your own native homeland "Jan van Eyck".
The painting I'm referring to is "The Arnolfini Portrait" (Painted 1434)

It was the importance upon the central mirror and it's reflection back into the room http://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/40667/file-2432458271-jpg/Arnolfini-portrait-mirror.jpg?t=1422906748165
Not only do you not use a fisheye my friend You don't get the artists name right either....Pieter de Hoogh or did you mean Pieter de HoochRemarkable painting and much older in deed, yes, but I don't use a fish eye lens
In the respect of this theme another very interesting painting is Las Meninas of Velasques in the Prado, Madrid. Looking through and a mirror!
Are the King and the Queen reflected in the mirror a reflection of the subject he paints or a reflection of the canvas itself etc .etc.

Have you been on the "Absinthe" again :loco:May be this one is a bit more like the Arnolfini portrait.
We're all lucky to view some wonderful pictures here every day. This is the best kind, I think. Thanks for sharing, Amin!
