You two the “Fifties” ...No personal recollection myself but my grandparents used too reminisce about them all the time oke:
Some “Photomatix” from the youth of today
On your Avatar you look so much wiser
Where did I go? I know I was out there on that ledge. I have the pictures to prove it. LOLIm really falling for that 16-35 but still when I want the best image bar none the 24 TSE from Canon is incredible.
Here is a 3 shot pano with the 24mm TSE. Bryce Canyon our first morning out
Yeah, you got it, its the table with ashtray, but what do you see?Looks like wallpaper to me! Or partly? Exept the back table with ashtree?
For those of you (Barry, Werner...) hosting your wonderful higher resolution images on Flickr, how are you linking them here? When I do that via , I get a small square with a question mark. If I do it through [URL], I get a link with the same "Open image in new tab" message, but no picture in the post - just the URL. How do you get the image to appear in your post?
And Michiel, how do you get such beautiful clean images to appear here? When I link or post 1200px wide images (either uploading directly or linking to Zenfolio), they appear very blurry. Do you upload at higher resolution and let the website scale?
Thank you all!

Hi Matt, apologies for not getting back sooner (I have been out most of the day).
I see that you have figured uploading from Flickr for yourself, excellent!
Everybody does it slightly different from one another. I now personally make my Flickr images to 2400px maximum wide/high and then make a link to that called “LARGER” for members who wish to see how my image was originally intended to be finally seen, like the one below.
I then send the smaller 1600px image which is automatically generated by Flickr to GetDPI, this in turn is automatically downsized yet again to 1200px maximum wide/high with the GetDPI downsizing algorithm.
This way only a tiny amount of IQ is lost in translation when the image displays here on GetDPI but in order to see it at it’s best you really need to click on the “LARGER” link.
To get a clean image I find that the Andreas Resch Web Sharpener script works the best that I have seen to date...But it only works with CS4 and above because it works in Labcolor mode and not RGB.
Here is the link if you are interested.... http://andreasresch.at/2013/04/07/web-sharpener-better-sharpening-for-the-web/
I hope this helps....Cheers Barry
