Re: Fun With Sony _____
Miami Open Tennis Tournament. Was given four free tickets plus a parking pass for the daytime matches on the 27th. The only catch was that I had to take my 10 yr old and his friends (the parents wanted a bit of alone time). So, between the rain, and 3 ten year old boys who wanted food and to be out of the sun, I was able to squeeze off a few frames of this match. I missed Rafael Nadal's match because the boys wanted to get ice cream and then go home.
The girl in the black, a Romanian, was seeded third. The girl in the blue top is Czech and she came with her own cheering section (will show the cheering section). The Romanian won the match.
The photographers pit was 12 rows in front of me. They had their fancy tripods and lenses that could reach NYC from Miami. Sometimes they were in my way so I had to dump those pictures. Man, I would love to be in the pit. I like to think I can do it.
What was interesting to me is that the photogs in the pit didn't have to deal with the spectators in the photos when the players served, because the back wall is high enough for the ball to be seen against the wall as opposed to my pics that had the spectators in the background.
Sony a900 with 70-200/2.8G. The colors are pretty much out of the camera. Yes, I cropped. More photos to come, of a men's match.
Thanks for the love / likes, in advance.
