Lovely Louis :thumbs: well worth the effort IMHO...The Loxia is looking like one of the best 35mm lenses for the A7 series...liked your review on your blog...Cheers Barry

Auto focus works and even fast enough for me. Quite amazed that the lens did not hunt despite the shiny stuff visible in the frame. :thumbs:

It is certainly the best in my experience to date. As good as my (now sold) Leica Summicron 35/2 which to my mind is the bar to achieve and surpass.

This farmer was walking towards us and he stopped for a few seconds to allow us to capture his image.

More fat pixels (A7S) and the Elmarit 90/2.8. Quite a challenge to get the focus spot on - which it is in the first photograph and only slightly out in the second. That said I think the second has more character even if it isn't pixel perfect.

Many have remarked how well Leica and other non-native lenses work with the A7S and I have to agree that it is my experience as well.
