Jagged moon. (split toned)

I was playing with long lenses earlier this evening - in this case with an old Nikon 600mm 5.6 ed-if that I picked up for peanuts.

Wonderfull serie from Gloucester Cathedral, Barry!
Lovely moonshots frozenb and Annna!

Thanks Michiel, though I really was just playing around!

Your image of Gare du Nord is particularly moving and powerful, and seems suffused with uncertainty and tension. I'm sure it was a difficult moment to hold a camera, but thank you for doing so!

Cheers,
Tom

Another shot of Sheepstor taken earlier this year on the A7R.
This is one of the more remote reservoirs up on Dartmoor (BLENCOMO)

From my window. These two past days, the moon is rising right from behind the castles. But I have a hard time adjusting exposure and WB.. I tried a HDR, but found the result of this single exposure better. To-morrow I'll try again with 100 ISO hoping to get more DR.

A7rII, Metabones smartadapter v. IV, Canon EF 70-200mm F4.0 L IS USM @ 138mm 1 sec. F8 ISO3200! (yes I goofed and forgot to reset to 100 ISO after focusing). But I was impressed by the very low and fine noise it produce. BTW : this setup produced quite a lot of flare with the moon right in front : I had to take out a purplish red blob above the moon a little on the left. I left the green and red one between the little chappel and the castle on the right.
