EFC shutter, so it can happen on the A7r...

Well the D810 has just been announced. One of the new features is Electronic First Curtain shutter. The argument has always been that the chip couldn't do EFC, now we see that it can. Too much to hope for a firmware upgrade but oh what wouldn't I give...

SAR reports that the D810 has the same sensor as the A7r, but it's not clear if that's an informed fact or just an assumption.

But the shutter has nothing to do with the sensor. Nikon explicitly wrote that the D810 has a new and improved shutter. Maybe they've read all the A7r complaints :)
