Yes I understand I can adapt my current TSE lenses but it would be nice to have great quality Sony/Zeiss (or whoever) A mount lenses going forward into the future rather that continually having to hack lenses from a Pro A9 system point of view.

When I said more pixels I meant more than the 24Mpix in the A7II. If the new A9 sensor sticks between 35-40Mpix but added the IBIS and electric shutter stuff etc I'd be more than happy.

There's the Schneider PC lenses in A-mount but they are on the expensive side... SLR Lenses, DSLR Lenses | B&H Photo Video

Ah.. your desire to not touch the Canon anymore is also including lenses. I thought it had to do with the bodies and sensors. There are a few people here using the A7r with the 17 TSE and 24 TSE VII and they are raving about the IQ.

I own the 24 V1, so the results aren't so good. But I'd be perfectly happy with a V2.

No, not at all I have the upmost respect for Canon equipment and own and 95% shoot everything with the Canon TSE glass. I'm not really bothered what brand of lens is mounted to my camera as long as its a good one but having more native specialist lenses to go with these exciting cameras is what I'd love to see I suppose.

I've held off until now buying the A7R is a faint hope Canon will step up but following the A7II announcements and spec, plus the A9 rumour I've pretty much decided I'll be buying the Sony A9 at release as my next camera as I doubt Canon has the ability to pull it off technically and for the right money.

I was thinking the same thing. High MP and fast AF would make sense in a pro spec camera. If true then it's hard to see where an A7r ii would fit in alongside
an A9.

High MP and fast AF haven't mixed yet, I'd be surprised if it happens, of course I would love it! Maybe the A9 will offer two models, one sports and studio orientated, the rumor mill was pointing towards 50MP, not sure how fast that could be, if 5fps, I'd be happy!

On top of what has already been said, I would love Sony to offer a Pro Flash system, radio control preferably with a smallish radio Camera trigger, similar to the what Canon has to offer. EFC on the Canon has always allowed me to shoot flash sync 1/200 without clipping with C-AF unlike my Sony A7s and Fuji X systems (Correct me if I'm wrong here).

The game changer regarding the flash sync with (esp with TTL) would seem to be the Photix Mitros flashes and the chance to use HSS with radio control.

I plan to add this in the near future to be able to sync at 1/8000s. :)
