Using the AC unit to charge batteries when using vertical grip?

The manual (a7RII) clearly states that the using the AC adaptor chops 100 minutes off the time required by the furnished charger. It does not speak to those of us who use a vertical grip. No mention is made of this in the grip manual.

I'd hate to plug it in and pop something. Any thoughts on this?

Follow up:

So, I took a deep breath and plugged the AC in. Nada. And the good news is, nothing popped or blew up. So we charge batteries one at a time.

I charge my batteries with the supplied charger (VW1) for the A7R2 and the charger (TRW) I bought for my A7R.
