A7rII/Batis 85mm and Vello extension tubes

I just bought a set of these for a gig next week, where i need to get some small products shots but I ran outside grabbed two shots with both tubes on. First the AF , second they maybe a good fix for a macro. It also works with IBIS on and the 85mm is a perfect lens for them. Might be worth the 82 dollars. The bad news is I have no flowers that will grow in 115 heat. Im all dried out here . LOL

Hey I just saved 1000 bucks who needs the 90 macro. LOL

Kidding this is just a nice fix and the 85mm just got expanded capabilities.

Well, I ordered the pair. Are you getting kickback$? :D

I don't have the Batis yet. I ordered it a couple of weeks ago, so I expect it sometime... in the next year or so. :) In the meantime, I'll try out the FE55 with the tubes.

Guy, were you using both tubes for those shots? Also, any guestimate as to how close this makes the 85 1:1.

Wish I was making something. I need more glass. Lol

I used both tubes together. I was inches away from the front of the lens. My bet with 2 tubes and 3 options you can go from a couple inches to the Batis minimum which I think is three feet. I think there just nice to have in the bag. There light as a feather. It mounts slightly loose on the lens end but I don't see it as a issue.

Bet they will work great on the 55 as well.

We tend to forget about extension tubes.
I used one often on the Hasselblad with 150mm lens for getting closer focus distance.
I bought some really cheap auto extension tubes for the E mount. Haven't tried them with the A7RII.
May give it a go tomorrow.

Nice thing about exposure meter in camera and TTL flash is no need to factor in the exposure compensation.

Update these worked really good today with the Batis 85. I'll post some image soon. Really worth having in the bag
