a7RII steady shot question

I am new with this camera, and still trying to get familiar with it. With native 55mm lens, and Steady Shot "ON", I get a flashing warning that I may get blurry photos all the way up to 1/60 second. Any shutter speed below that I get the warning. I suspect it depends on the focal length. Is this normal? Seems very conservative to me. Thanks in advance.

Answered my own question, sort of......I put on a native 35mm lens, and the flashing warning goes off at 1/50 second instead of 1/60 like it does with the 55mm lens. Still seems conservative to me, but the warning will probably remind me to brace the camera somehow.
Best regards to all.
