I found that upgrading to v.46 ruined Canon PDAF with the A7II and v2.0 firmware. Be careful! It was good at v.43 w/2.0.
That's interesting. I've found it to work well.
It does seem, sometimes, like the Metabones and lens have to get synced.
I also tried holding down the button when attaching the lens. That seems to make things work a bit better.
I've been testing a 300mm F4 L which is an older lens and it seems to be working fine outside even with small focus point selected. I also have been doing some testing with 200mm F2.8 L II. It also seems to work fine. I just tried it with AF-C and slow continuous shutter. Won't find focus with small focus point. Worked with Mid focus point.
I noticed that the Meta Data lists the lens as a 200mm G SSM II when the 200 is mounted on the Metabones IV.
Update: I looked at the 200mm AF-C images. The first was in focus, the second and subsequent were not. It's not something I'd use often. I know the 160-600 Tamron does an acceptable job with the AE3 adapter on the A7R2.
That will be next test with A7II and updated firmware.
