Sony a 7 II with the new firmware and metabones how is it? Now that it has pahese detection points. Any where near the 7 r11? Thanks David

I have the Metabones IV along with an A7II and an A7RII.
I also have several Canon mount lenses. Mostly Canon along with a Sigma 150 Macro.
For the most part the Metabones IV and A7II work well. Certain lenses focus more slowly. Many of them focus nearly as well as on a Canon or an FE lens on the A7. A couple of the lenses focus as quickly as the FEs.

I've not taken the time to do a detailed test.

I also have a Fotodiox adapter that works well with a much smaller number of lenses on the A7II and A7RII.

Bottomline is that it depends on the lens.

Brian Smith's testing and list are probably as reliable a resource as any.
