FW Updates fro many lenses issued

For example (the one I use):

Support for SEL55F18Z : Carl Zeiss® Lens : Interchangeable Lens : Sony Asia Pacific

Support for SEL35F28Z : Carl Zeiss® Lens : Interchangeable Lens : Sony Asia Pacific

Others: 35/1.4, plus some zooms are also there

Do these updates do anything except make the manual focus scale more accurate? Do they change aperture behavior during focus?

The update for the 55/1.8 is an older update which was already installed in my case. I installed the 35/2.8 update, but haven't noticed any difference so far.
